Sensor Fusion for Autonomous Systems

Duration
5 Days
Delivery
In-house, public or online
From
R18,000 per delegate
Certificate

Course overview

No single sensor is reliable in every condition, so autonomous systems combine several and reconcile the disagreements. This course covers fusing sensor data into a usable picture.

What you will be able to do
  • Explain the strengths and blind spots of each sensor type
  • Align sensor data in time and space
  • Apply filtering to combine noisy measurements
  • Handle disagreement and sensor failure
  • Estimate position and state from combined data
  • Test fusion performance in degraded conditions
Who should attend
  • Robotics and control engineers
  • Automation and instrumentation staff
  • Data engineers on autonomous projects
  • Technical staff in mining and logistics automation
