Parasitic infection remains a major diagnostic workload across much of Africa, and identification still rests heavily on microscopy. This course covers specimen handling, staining and morphological identification alongside the newer rapid and molecular methods.

  • Prepare and stain slides for parasite detection
  • Identify common parasites by morphology
  • Apply concentration techniques to improve detection
